ZOObic Park

I remember when I was a child I used to love animals. Show me a picture of an animal and I'm pretty sure I know what kind they are, what they eat, and where their habitats are. If I was rich I probably would have been a zoologist or a marine biologist. But I'm not so I'm a graphic designer now. Filipinos, read between the lines na lang.

I tell myself that this is what's meant to be. I was meant to be in the arts. Aside from loving animals I really love art so there is absolutely no regrets on that part. I say again: No Regrets.

I remember my ambitions in life when I was a child. Remember when someone asks you " What do you want to be when you grow up?"? My answers were "A doctor." or "A scientist." and of course "An artist." What I'm trying to say is I was torn between art and science. In fact when I was in my senior year in high school I applied for two college exams: B Fine Arts and BS Biology. Eventually I chose art over science and science got buried along the way of my becoming a graphic designer.

Coming to Zoobic made me remember those times. When I got home I watched National Geographic all night long and I felt like a kid again bursting with curiousity. I love watching them and reading about them. I love animals then and I still do now. Sometimes that love gets buried by the not-so-important things but it always finds a ways to re-surface.

View some of the animal pictures here, here and here. Note: The bipedal vertebrate wearing green is not an animal.
